The Business Activity Statement or BAS is a report that is required by the ATO for all businesses in Australia that are registered for GST. It reports how much GST your business has paid and collected, PAYG instalments as well as other tax items. Depending on your business, you may be required by law to lodge a BAS with the ATO on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
