If your business name was registered after you opened your Thriday account, it may not automatically appear on your account.
Our banking partner is looking into allowing changes to the bank account name after onboarding. Please reach out to wecare@thriday.com.au if you need assistance.
3. Why is it important for the account name to match payment details?
Banks are gradually rolling out Confirmation of Payee (CoP) checks. This means when someone sends a payment to you, their bank may compare the account name provided with the name on file at Thriday. If the names don't match, the payer may:
- Receive a warning that the name doesn't match.
- Hesitate to proceed with the payment.
- Cancel or have the payment rejected.
To add a registered business name to your account call 1800-THRIDAY (1800 847 4329) and select #1 to get through to banking support, they can add your registered business name. From there, you can change the bank account name on Thriday via Settings > Invoices > Business trading name. That will then appear on your invoices, and match what is listed with Regional Australia Bank.
NOTE: It must be your registered business name, not a trading name.
